On February 1, 2017 a group of individuals chose to take a proactive stance against the decades long torture and oppression that had been imposed upon the inmates locked down behind the prison walls. This book is a compilation of raw interviews conducted by defendants the state chose to indict (regardless of the lack of evidence), for the physical liberation of the James T. Vaughn Correctional Institution. These interviews highlight the physical and psychological turmoil these men endured fighting for their freedom while refusing to relinquish their principals. Though they lost one in the trenches of this war, the bonds forged between these men within this fire is a testimony to their resilient spirits and unbreakable will.
